Cellular Signal Improvement Solutions Frequently Asked Questions

Q. In which cases do you recommend the mobile or home antenna & adapter (passive) solutions?
A. We only recommend a mobile or home passive solution if you're experiencing sporadic dropped calls (for example while traveling or during bad weather) but no total signal loss. In other words, in such cases where the signal is "decent", but not as good as it is outside your vehicle or your building. At home or in your office, we only recommend the passive solution if you want to have a "cleaner" signal, but we do not recommend a passive solution where the signal is very low or even absent at times (in such cases, only an Active Solution will work). Furthermore, if you have a cell phone or data card without a direct-connect antenna's port, we really do not recommend a passive solution (find out whether your device has a usable antenna's connection or not).

Q. I want to save money if at all possible. Can I try the Antenna-Only solution first?
A. If you really want to try saving money, then the course of action we recommend is to purchase our mobile antenna or home antenna (or both) solutions, try it for some time, and then purchase our Active Amplifier if you do not see any appreciable signal improvement (please remember that our antenna solutions are non-refundable). If you email us right after your Active Amplifier purchase, we will give you a 10% discount on its price and its shipping charges, since you already bought the antenna solution from us (your card will still be authorized for the full amount, but we will only charge it for 90% of the total amount). Notice that with this course of action you will end up with a spear antenna and adapter, which can be used in conjunction with the amplifier to achieve an even greater signal gain for reception and transmission (better upstream and downstream gains in case of data cards).

Q. I have almost no signal at home/office (my cell phone only works in some rooms or when upstairs). Do you have a solution to this problem?
A. Yes, we definitely have a solution that will drastically improve your situation (up to full-scale signal level in most cases). It is our Active Wireless Amplifier.

Q. I just received the antenna-and-adapter passive solution, and I do not see any signal improvement. How can I know for sure?
A. Because of the complexity of high-frequency signal propagation patterns, and because your cell phone or device can use hundreds of different channels on different frequencies and even different bands, the only practical way to verify signal gain is to set your device to Field Test Mode, which will transform your device into a simple "signal strength analyzer", displaying the gain in dB on screen. We only have some of these Field Codes, but for most of the latest models, only the manufacturer and authorized repair centers have these codes. (Notice that a much better and professional way to test signal improvement is setting the device on Field Test Mode, and also conduct the test in an RF Screen Room, where there will be  no signal unless the device is connected to external antennas.)

Q. Do you have signal improvement solutions for cellular data cards?
A. Yes, everything we're discussing here is also valid and applies to cellular data cards. Please enter your cellular data card model in our inventory search box or contact us.

Q. I need to improve signal not only for my cell phone, but also for my data card, simultaneously. Do you have a solution?
A. Yes, we also stock active cellular repeaters, which allow simultaneous usage of several cellular devices. Please contact us for price and availability.

Q. I need to improve signal for several cellular phones in my home/office/vehicle. Do you have a solution?
A. You will need an active repeater (same as above) to boost the signal of several cellular devices simultaneously. Please contact us for price and availability.

If you still have questions about our signal improvement solutions, you're welcome to email us (your email address and other info is fully protected by our privacy policy).
